The Track Tec Group will deliver the turnouts for the construction of an urban railway in Ottawa (Canada). As part of the order, the Company will also assume the organization of logistics up to the building site in the Just-In-Time system. This is the largest export order of Track Tec and another Company’s contract on the Canadian market.
The order for Track Tec concerns the delivery of 60 turnouts for the Light Rail Transit (LRT). The turnouts for the so-called “Confederation Line” will be installed on prestressed concrete sleepers, wooden sleepers as well as on unconventional railway superstructure. The contract is going to be executed from December this year until mid-2016.
“We informed last year that we have managed to mark our presence on the Canadian market and that this is a milestone in the development of the Track Tec Group. This is confirmed by another order which is also our biggest export success” – said Jarosław Pawluk, CEO of the Track Tec Group.
The first order for the Canadian market was acquired by Track Tec last year and concerned the supply of 40 turnouts for the purpose of the subway expansion in Vancouver. Due to the schedule of construction works on Evergreen Line, the project was launched at the beginning of this year. As part of the order the delivery to Canada will include track connections and complete turnouts with mobile and fixed frog points that are intended to be used on both ballast and ballastless tracks.
