TRACK TEC AN EXPERT AT THE XIV EUROPEAN ECONOMIC CONGRESS

The Track Tec Group once again took part in the European Economic Congress, which this year took place from 25-27 April 2022 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The event has for years been an important part of the public debate on the Polish and European economy. Krzysztof Niemiec – Vice President of the Management Board of the Track Tec Group – took part in discussions on transport infrastructure in Poland and infrastructure construction as an expert.

This year’s edition of the European Economic Congress was held in the traditional formula, assuming personal participation of participants and direct interaction between speakers. The agenda of the event and the value of the Congress as a prestigious industry event are determined primarily by its guests, who share their knowledge and experience. The 14th edition of the Congress was devoted to the broadly understood changes in the economy related to the introduction of a sustainable business model by companies. The Congress also addressed the consequences of pandemic-related disruptions in global supply chains, the consequences of the dynamic development of digital technologies and issues of energy sector transformation.

Panellists on transport infrastructure and infrastructure construction included Krzysztof Niemiec, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Track Tec S.A. The first session dealt with the Sustainable Transport Development Strategy and the possibilities of implementing the European Green Deal. The panel on infrastructure construction developed the issues of the situation on the road investment market – its opportunities and challenges in the face of economic change. The experts also analysed the prospects for the implementation of programmes: Bridges for Regions, the Rail + Programme and the 100 Bypasses Programme.

– A developed transport infrastructure is undoubtedly a factor in investment attractiveness and the competitiveness of the economy. It is therefore important to identify the problems of Polish infrastructure on an ongoing basis and to look for opportunities and possibilities for its development. Knowing the Polish market, as well as its resources, needs, challenges and performance potential, we can discuss the most cost-effective and desirable solutions, which will consequently lead to the development of Polish railways,” said Krzysztof Niemiec, Vice President of the Board of Track Tec S.A.

The European Economic Congress (EEC) is a three-day series of debates and meetings with the participation of guests from Poland and other European countries, which is considered the most important economic event in Central Europe. Sessions and discussions are attended by several hundred panellists each year, including EU commissioners, national and European politicians, but above all investors and entrepreneurs. The topics of the Congress include issues currently crucial to the economic and social development of Europe.
