RailwayTech Indonesia was held from October 19-21, 2022 in Jakarta. The event was a B2B and B2C international trade exhibition. It showcased new technologies, equipment and services for railroad equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket in Indonesia. The 250 exhibitors included representatives from 25 countries, who attracted more than 15,000 visitors with their innovative products.
– Attendance at international industry events is an integral part of our business as a globally operating company. We see a special opportunity for growth in Asian countries, whose transportation needs are steadily increasing, which affects the pace and scope of rail investment in the region. We believe that the discussions undertaken during the fair, the exchange of knowledge and experience, will result in innovative projects and the expansion of the dimension of international cooperation – says Krzysztof Niemiec, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Track Tec S.A.
Track Tec Group has experience with orders in the Asian market, where demand for fast and efficient rail transportation is growing. Indonesia, after Pakistan and Malaysia, is one of the countries whose government has constantly emphasized the importance of integrating urban transportation systems with urban planning. Taking care of intermodality can significantly reduce congestion in major cities, especially in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung and surrounding areas. To this end, the Indonesian Central Government has approved Rp 571 trillion ($40.12 billion) worth of Greater Jakarta infrastructure projects.
