Representatives of the Track Tec Group, a leading European manufacturer of materials for railroad pavement construction, took part in the 11th Conference on Modern Technologies and Management Systems in Rail Transportation. Among the honorary patrons, the company was represented by Jacek Paś, Director of Technology and Development of Track Tec Koltram. Track Tec Group was a diamond partner of the event.
The conference discussed modern technologies in the design, construction, maintenance, diagnostics and operation of rail infrastructure and rolling stock for the transportation of people and materials. One of the main issues discussed during the event was also rail investment in the new economic reality in Poland and the European Union, including expenditures related to the energy transition to combat climate change and reduce dependence on fossil fuels (including through electrification of rail lines).
– By considering the future of rail infrastructure in Poland and around the world together, we are able to look at the same issues from an entirely new, broader perspective. This is an integral part of developing market innovations that improve the quality of Polish railroads – said Krzysztof Niemiec, Vice President of Track Tec S.A.
The experts also discussed the adaptation of the line and point infrastructure of rail transport in Poland to the transport needs associated with the European integration of Ukraine and the prospect of its reconstruction. Opportunities related to the railroads of the 21st century were also discussed, including opportunities for external funding for research and development and innovation.
NOVKOL is one of the largest transportation industry conferences in Poland. Every year it is attended by representatives of PKP S.A. Group companies, universities, as well as design, production and contracting companies that deal with the issues of implementing modern technologies on railroads. It was organized by the Association of Engineers and Technicians of Transportation of the Republic of Poland, Krakow Branch, with the participation of the Krakow University of Technology – Department of Roads, Railways and Traffic Engineering, PKP Polskie Linii Kolejowe S.A. and the Małopolska Regional Chamber of Civil Engineers in Krakow.
